“When we launched the New Xpander a month ago, it doubled as an opportunity for us to reawaken the love of Filipinos for adventure and road trips through this ride-and-drive
series. And as promised, we wish for those who are outside of the capital of Manila residing in Visayas and Mindanao to experience it for themselves physically and not just
through a screen,” said Mr. Takeshi Hara, President and CEO of MMPC. “We are excited
for more locals to meet the latest version of the Xpander and receive the promotions and gifts we have in store for them all throughout the three days. We are not stopping here though, watch out for us to come to your city soon.”
Now having a restyled exterior and signature T-shape lights, the country’s number 1 MPV
boasts of segment-leading 225-mm ground clearance and cruise control. In addition is its sizeable cabin space whether with passengers on board the second and third rows or
cargo at the flattened deck when seats are folded. On the inside, the New Xpander’s
dashboard has been fully enhanced including soft-touch materials and a 7-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA-3), with a backing up camera, Apple Car Play and
Android Auto. Under the body, the steering mechanism and suspension have also been
optimized for more comfort and as a complement to its fuel-saving 1.5 MIVEC automatic
transmission engine..

Organized by the Manila Sports Car Club, the MSCC Miata Spec Series provides a true turnkey racing experience. With all cars being identical, it becomes a real test of driving skill in a two heat, ten-lap race. This series uses the fourth-generation MX-5. Using a showroom stock engine and transmission, the suspension and chassis have been modified to extract more grip.

Also celebrating the MX-5 is the Miata Cup, the country’s longest running sportscar racing championship. Organized by the Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP), it brings all four generations of the nimble, lightweight roadster on the track. The Miata Cup splits the grid into five classes based on how fast they can go around the track, ensuring a more level playing field while keeping costs low.
